The Estates Department has vacancies for enthusiastic and hard working Mobile Multi-Skilled Building Craftsperson’s, currently based at The Chaucer Centre, Canterbury Road, Mordon, Surrey, SM4 6PT, providing a Maintenance service to all Healthcare Properties throughout South London and any other properties maintained by Essentia.
As this is a Mobile post working at a number of sites a vehicle is provided when required.
You must have a clean Driving Licence and be must be able to drive a vehicle with a manual gear change. You will be required to work flexibly which may include early and late shifts and Weekends. This will be dependent on the needs of the service but will not exceed 37.5 hours a week. You will be required to participate in an out of hours on call Rota which an additional payment will be paid.
Duties include the maintaining and repairing a wide range of Buildings and services including General Building Repairs, Internal and External decorations, Hot and Cold Water Systems and Plumbing Installations.
The Trust is committed to developing staff and provides a training programme in statutory and specialised areas (i.e. Water Systems).
You must have a recognised apprenticeship or a have completed a structured training programme in Carpentry or Building and have a City and Guilds Qualification or equivalent.
