We have two lovely children aged 13 and 6 and live in a quiet and safe residential area of Bromley, Southeast Greater London. We are looking for a new au pair to start from 29 August 2022. This au pair opportunity is for 4 months until Christmas 2022, with a possibility of extension.
As our 13 year old son doesn’t really need looking after, the main duties for the au pair is to look after our 6 year old daughter before and after school. She is a cheerful and chatty girl with lots of energy who enjoys drawing, singing, dancing and dressing up!
Au Pair duties:
Daily routine during school term time (Monday- Friday)
Getting our 6 year old daughter ready for school every morning. Mum leaves for work around 7:15 so, au pair’s duty starts around 7:10 after a handover from Mum.
Taking her to school at 8:40 after breakfast. The school is 3 minutes walk from our house.
Tidying up the house, especially the kitchen, lounge and kids’ bedrooms.
Doing kids’ clothes laundry twice a week including some ironing.
Picking up our daughter from school at 15:15, giving her some snack, playing, helping her with her homework. (At 17:00 our son comes from school on his own. )
Giving her a bath and preparing an evening meal.
Mum comes home around 18:30 to take over from the au pair.
During the week, our daughter has some extra activities such as ballet.
We occasionally ask the au pair to look after our children in the evening, maybe one or two days per week.
Au pair criteria:
• Female
• Non-smoker
• A good command of English
• Friendly, hardworking, patient, polite, tidy
• Likes cooking
• Worked as au pair before
• Proactive and communicative
• Available for a face-to face interview in July 2022
• Available to start exactly on 29 August
Pocket money
We provide £100 per week. During the school holiday when the au pair works all day, for every day that they work full day, we give additional £10.
