We are looking for a fun, caring, responsible person to live with us and look after our two boys aged 9 and 6 from the end of August 2022.
During term time both children are in school 8:45am until 3:15pm. We we are looking for someone to be in sole charge for morning and afternoon routines 4 days a week with Tuesdays off. The school is less than 10 minutes walk away from our house. You would be free whilst they are at school (roughly 9.00am till 3.00pm) and Tuesdays all day.
In summary:
We are looking for an au pair plus:
o Live-in childcare from Thursday 24th or Friday 25th August 2022;
o Relevant experience of being in sole charge of two children, ideally boys, aged between 5 and 10 years old;
o Someone who is reliable, caring, with good organizational skills; someone genuinely interested in looking after children, who can integrate into a family and be independent at the same time;
o Non-smoker;
o Good references from previous childcare experience.
Role and responsibilities:
o Morning routines (ensuring kids are dressed, washed and ready for school and then walking them to school) – 7:15am – 9am
o Afternoon routines (pick-up from school, outdoor and indoor play, supervising homework, taking kids to the park, after school clubs and arranging play dates) - 3pm – 6pm
o Very occasional evening routines (bathing and putting to bed) if required due to our work commitments - 6pm – 8pm
o Light housework: keeping kitchen-dining area clean, encouraging the children to tidy their bedrooms, and doing occasional laundry and ironing
o Cooking healthy evening meals for children on weekdays
o Occasional babysitting (during the week and once a month at weekends)
o Looking after the children all day for additional pay (negotiable) during school inset days and some school holidays
