We're Looking for a breakfast assistant for our 14 room B and B hotel in central Ealing, West London.
The job :- on arrival, finish setting up the fresh produce for the start of service. During service, take orders for cooked breakfast, make tea/ coffee and toast. ( cooked orders done by kitchen cook), Continuous service throughout breakfast period - clearing tables, re-laying tables, serving guests, washing up dishes / cutlery / glasses, replenishing any products.
At the end of service, clear up breakfast room and re-lay all tables ready for the next day. Vacuum breakfast room, lounge and entrance hall.
Clear up and clean kitchen at the end of service - washing dishes, pots, pans, cleaning down cooker, grill, all surfaces, mop floor, vacuum floor. Leave kitchen clean and ready for the next days service.
The hours are :- 06.50 to 10.20 Monday to Friday ( breakfast is served from 07.00 to 09.00) 17.5 hours per week.
The pay is £7.85 per hour ( rising to £8 per hour after 2 months successfully in the job).
You :-
We need a friendly outgoing person who can engage our guests, who is definitely a 'MORNING' person who will greet the guests with a cheery smile and a bit of chat! We pride ourselves on our warm, friendly welcome and our guests will always remember this and appreciate it. You are often the last person they will interact with prior to their departure and so it's hugely important to leave the right lasting impression.
Ideally you will live in the local area with not far to travel due to the early start. You do need to be a good timekeeper as the other staff will rely on you to help finish setting up, you must be happy to work in a small team and you need to understand the importance of food safety ( including allergen awareness)and health and safety issues. You do need to be able to speak and write English well and with the right to work in the UK ( either by being an EU citizen or with a valid work permit ( proof will be required). Training in all areas will given to the successful candidate,
