We're recruiting for a bookings and events assistant based in our Bunker 51 office. This is a part- time role with flexibility, with the possibility of this developing into a full-time position due to future expansion of the businesses in the near future. It would suit someone looking for a flexible office based role to fit around other commitments or University.

Apocalypse Events Ltd: Apocalypse Events specialises in immersive experiences with a dark twist. Since its launch in 2012, Apocalypse Events has brought six immersive theatre productions to London including its pop up experiences such as Whitechapel: Suspects, Lunatics and a Leather Apron and Necropolis: London’s Journey of the Dead, to its year-round scare event, Zombie S.W.A.T Training.
Bunker 51 Ltd: Bunker 51 in North Greenwich is London’s only indoor paintball arena but it operates as much more than that. Bunker 51 offers day to day activities such as laser tag, paintball and airsoft, but it also operates as a popular venue for hire and filming location. Opened in 2009, Bunker 51 is specially designed as a military Bunker with two arenas.
Trapped (Room Escape UK Ltd): Trapped is a growing escape room brand with three different experiences; Trapped in a Room with a Zombie, Trapped Undercover and Trapped in a Prison Van. We are London’s leading immersive escape room company with live actors and attention to detail. Trapped in a Room with a Zombie was one of the first escape rooms in London in 2014. In 2022, we opened two new rooms and continue to grow.
Ultimate Recreation London Ltd: Ultimate Recreation is the umbrella brand to all our companies and has been a leading London supplier of activities for over fifteen years.
Star Command Laser Tag: Star Command Laser Tag is London’s leading retro laser tag arena. We’ve been at popular locations in Central London such as Charing Cross Road, Whitechapel and London Trocadero.
Ultimate Airsoft: One of our more recent brands, Ultimate Airsoft is establishing itself as the leading authority on airsoft in London. With a friendly team and dedication to airsoft, Ultimate Airsoft is a popular brand for experienced airsofters and newbies alike.
VertigoVR: Opened in 2022, VertigoVR leads the way into the new types of experiences. Specialising in virtual reality activities to retrogaming, VertigoVR has a variety of gaming fun.
What are the responsibilities of the Bookings and Events Assistant?
You will be working within the bookings team for day to day enquiries as well as assisting the venue manager, marketing manager and events team.
Planning and organising the running of corporate events and large team building activities with the venue manager and events team. For example, a team building activity at Bunker 51 of 60 + or assisting with bespoke events/activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle booking enquiries in the bookings office, ensuring all enquiries are dealt responded to with a 24 hour period (excluding those that come through on weekends). This includes processing bookings, sending product information and upselling on activities.
That all bookings are input correctly into the bookings system and to keep track of the client payment schedule.
To assist the team with organising corporate events and team building activities and briefing all necessary staff about how these events will run, any special requirements the client has and what needs to be arranged in order for them to be executed efficiently.
Building relationships with repeat customers and corporate clients.
To be present at certain events (such as venue hire) to ensure successful event execution.
To arrange and conduct site visits as necessary, with a deep understanding of what is feasible at each venue and any restrictions there may be whilst ensuring the clients’ requirements are met.
Developing supplier contacts within the various industries and building a relationship with contacts and corporate partners.
Keeping up to date with industry events/exhibitions and growing the company.
This is a part time role with flexible hours a week in our Bunker 51 office. As part of the team, you will be required to work 1-2 weekends a month as the bookings office is open 7 days a week. You may be required to work evenings during events or be onsite for corporate bookings.
What do we look for in a Bookings and Events Assistant?
We are looking for someone who holds customer service at the forefront. The ideal candidate is passionate and willing to be hands-on in their approach.
You must have an attention to detail and be able to multi-task. This is key across the various experiences and responsibilities of your role.
experience or an interest in social media management/marketing is a bonus! If you love Twitter or Instagram, there is scope to assist the Marketing and Communications Manager with the day to day running of our social media accounts.
There is potential for growth in this role and within the company.
