Bicycle Mechanic

Bike House is looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team.Our store offers high end service for bikes up to £11000, electric bikes Bosch and Shimano systems, we are fully kitted to cater that, also we are launching our new bike fitting clinic by Trek Precision Fit.
If you have a passion for fixing bikes, talking about bikes,  then you’ll fit right in and we want to meet you.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years experience within the cycle industry, have a passion for all types of cycles, ideally, have either Cytech or NVQ Cycle Maintenance level 2 accreditation and be happy repairing and servicing all types of bikes as well as helping customers understand the benefits of cycle maintenance and servicing.

Job Role:

To build bicycle up to standards that we and Trek have, all training can be given to that.

Proficiency in all manner of repairs, and familiarity with all workshop tools.

Excellent communication skills i.e. Fluency in English, fluency in bicycle terminology, and the ability to convey multiple repair options to customers, both over the phone and in person. Positive person for a positive work place.

Strong product knowledge i.e. Familiarity with typical brands and suppliers in uk, but not essential.

Our ideal candidate should be able to relate to commuter cyclists in as many ways as possible i.e. It would help to have first hand experience of cycling in a city as a primary mode of transport.

Usual shifts is from Tuesday to Saturdays.
