Hi,
We are looking for an experienced Au Pair who loves being around children to join our easy-going and considerate family from early April, and ideally, we’d like you to stay for 9-12 months (with August as paid holiday for you to travel around the UK or Europe).
We are looking for someone with experience as an Au Pair or working with children, and preferably based in London to meet for an interview. We need a reliable, honest, organised and friendly person who does not smoke.
We have a seven-year old son who is at school from 8.30am to 3.30pm less than ten minutes’ walk from home. We take him to school in the morning though we do need a bit of help getting him ready for school and eating breakfast.
You’ll need to pick him up after school, take him on playdates or to the park, and then help him with his homework. Then you’ll need to cook his dinner, and get his bath going. We’re home between 6.00pm to 6.30pm to take over and put him to bed.
We’d also like some help with light housework. We do have a cleaner once a week, but you’ll need to help keep the house tidy and some ironing.
In all it’s between 30-35 hours a week, including up to 2 nights a week babysitting (we rarely use both nights!). The weekends are your own although we may occasionally need a night’s babysitting.
We offer 5 weeks paid holiday per year, and we will pay you £125 a week. You have your own double-room, with a television, and share a bathroom.
Battersea is in zone 2, close to Chelsea and the King’s Road, and all central London has to offer. We hope you take time to explore London and the UK, and have fun while you are with us.
We’d like someone over 20 years old, and who has lived away from home before. You should speak good English and we’d like to see your CV and a photo and face-to-face interview are ideal, although we can Skype if you are not in the UK. We’d also like a couple of references – people who you’ve worked with before that we can speak to.
