About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bartender with a strong work ethic to join our small happy team at Portland restaurant.

The role will be focused behind the bar: pouring wine; making coffees; polishing glasses; and also having a good knowledge of our cellar and wine lists.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and hard-working Bartender who would like to take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be a team player.

Portland has a strong focus on seasonal, local ingredients and exceptional cooking alongside a wide-ranging selection of beverages, so an interest in food and wine is essential.

The position available is for a 49 hour working week, usually split over 7 shifts (2 doubles and 3 singles). We would also be happy to discuss part time roles.

You will be trained in all aspects of our food, beverage and service offer, and there will be plenty of opportunity for growth.

About us

Portland opened in January 2015 with the aim of cooking the best produce, simply but with imagination and plenty of care. We are an elegant 40 seat restaurant in London's Fitzrovia. In September 2015 Portland won a Michelin star.

We are open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week.
