We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Bar Team Member to join our highly motivated team. By day the Bar and Restaurant is a members club for collaborative working. By night, a Wine Room and bar serving fine wines, wines on tap and by the glass, craft Beers and a selection of classic cocktails. Charcuterie and cheese platters, small plates and bar snacks will be offered to accompany the drinks. This is a role for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about providing splendid service to guests. The right candidate must have an outgoing personality and creative flair, be at ease chatting to guests while preparing the perfect drink. They need to have a good knowledge of wines and cocktails, experience of food and wine service and must be comfortable opening and closing the bar. Lastly they must have Barista knowledge and experience. Responsibilities Have a full knowledge of the items on offer from the beverage menus, in particular the house cocktails, as well as the food menus. Be fully aware of the standards of preparation for coffee, tea and any other hot drinks and infusions. Follow direction from the Bar Manager, efficiently working in allocated section of the bar. Assist other food and drink team members when necessary to ensure smooth service for every guest. Attend daily briefings and be fully familiar with the menus and changes for the day. Maintain and care for all operating equipment such as linen, glassware and cutlery, keeping losses and breakages to a minimum. Have a full understanding and working knowledge of the TISSL POS billing system and the highest knowledge of Open Table software. Skills Exceptional customer service skills. Extremely organised with the ability to multi-task. Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and food. A confident self-starter comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. Keen eye for detail. A ‘can do’ spirit where nothing is a problem. An effective communicator with the ability to manage relationships with both peers as well as senior management. A team player with a cool head and ability to work collaboratively with others towards team goals.
