An exciting opportunity to join the ever-growing, dynamic food company, rhubarb. The Sky Garden sits at the top of the iconic 20 Fenchurch Street, and houses 2 restaurants, 2 bars and stunning event spaces.
Sky Pod Bar is an all-day drinking and dining rooftop space situated amongst the impressive gardens and offering the best views from Sky Garden. Sky Pod Rooftop Bar opens bright and early at 7am when we serve breakfast items and refreshments. Throughout the day, guests soak up the views with drinks, light snacks and sandwiches; in the evenings the extensive cocktail list and sharing boards become the star of the show as London comes to life and music fills the air.
We are now looking for an experienced Bars Manager to join the senior team and help take the Bar business to the next level
Job role.
- The successful Bars Manager will be responsible for operational and commercial success for all bar outlets for rhubarb at the Sky Garden, the fast paced Sky Pod lounge and terrace; the elegant, cocktail-focused destination City Garden plus ad-hoc pop up style bars for our event operations.
- As Bars Manager you must be fully versed in all duties and efficient delivery proactively seeking improvements and reacting to challenges as they arise.
- You will be managing a large team of up to 30 direct reports including Floor Managers, bartenders, cocktail waiters and baristas.
- The successful Bars Manager will establish an adequate communication and feedback structure between floor and bar staff to improve the service provision and enhance an efficient operation flow
Candidate profile.
- As Bars Manager you will have proven track record of managing and developing a high profile beverage outlet, ideally within the City or West End.
- Strong leadership skills are essential as you will have up to 30 direct reports.
- You must have the ability to motivate, develop and lead the team by demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm. Commercially astute with exposure to a high revenue business
