Ottolenghi Islington is looking for a barista!
We are looking for someone who is hard working and a great team player with at least 2 years’ barista experience to join our fast paced and fun restaurant. Knowledge of coffee is essential and an interest in wine is a big plus as you will be pouring wine and looking after stock.
The position is demanding - you will have to be able to cope with a fast pace and pressure - but also extremely rewarding. At Ottolenghi, we really care about our staff and our team’s development. Extracurricular perks to the job include wine and food training, test kitchen demonstrations, tastings and cookery classes. In return for your experience and enthusiasm we will provide a family-like environment in which you will be trained, nurtured and encouraged.
The role is full time, 5 shifts a week, around 40 hours. It can involve both day and evening shifts (depending on preference) and most weekends. Pay is competitive and baristas take an equal share of the gratuity made each day.
