A new and exciting re-branding of a current franchise and soon-to-be an independent coffee speciality offering fusion French and Eastern Food in Central London!
We are excited to announce an opening for a new position of a Barista.The café is an independently owned business that has been thriving for four years under the French brand of Pomme de Pain. It’s in a super Central London location just a breath away of Tottenham Court Road station. The area is well mixed with students, tourists, locals and business crowd as well as fitness lovers and healthy commuters.
Meanwhile lots have changed and we decided to create a minimal, healthy, high quality fresh menu inspired from African spices, far away smells and the blue and yellow Moroccan gardens contrast. We want to concentrate on high quality coffee (currently under process of choosing a specialty South London roaster and a La Marzocco machine).
Every member of the team is going to get a continuous training as well as opportunities to evolve and train in our machine (even on a spare time base) for competitions, cuppings, championships, etc (+ tips + food + drink). We want to create a coffee and staff culture, where everybody is able to experiment, try different flavours, food, offer and exchange ideas and create a healthy lifestyle for ourselves and our customers.
We are looking for energetic people, with specialty coffee experience (at least a year) and good organisational skills :) As we are currently under a re-branding phase, we are looking for somebody with great ideas, solid skills to grow the coffee part forward and sense of responsibility Responsibilities will include opening and closing the café (06:30 am - 8:30 pm on 3 shifts), exceptional customer service skills, high levels of cleanliness and attention to detail. You will be coming into a team where everyone does a little of everything so serving food and drinks, helping the barista on the machine and making espresso based drinks, stock ordering, running around clearing tables, being flexible with shifts (we are a seven day operation) and cleaning.
We are looking for full time and part time people with barista experience. You must also have hospitality experience and proven customer service skills. We are also planning to have evening events (7pm-10pm) so somebody with the will to do that would be also appreciated!
