Barista Admin Assistant Temp Role to run in House Office Coffee Shop

The Product Madness London office is looking for a fabulous multi-tasking Barista/Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for daily office admin duties as well as running the in-house ‘Heart of Vegas’ free coffee shop. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and experienced individual to join the Madness. This job is perfect for a recent graduate looking to gain relevant office experience within a team that fosters growth and creativity.
About You
As our friendly office barista, your main duties will rest in ensuring the coffee shop is being operated to its highest standard. This includes organizing weekly themed lunches and staff breakfasts, delivering coffee with the best latte art you can muster and putting our fruit juicer to the test. In between coffee hours you’ll be working alongside the office manager and operations manager to assist on various admin tasks ranging from expenses right through to office event organisation.
Barista Key Responsibilities:
-Serving well made coffee to staff and guests, adorning each coffee with the necessary latte art
-Keeping the coffee shop clean, tidy, and fully stocked at all times
-Organising Tuesday Breakfasts and weekly lunches, making sure that the shop is decorated to a specific theme of your choice
-Ordering Beers and snacks for Town Hall, which takes place every Friday
-Ordering all coffee shop stock
-Managing and recording coffee shop and town hall budgets
Administrative Key Responsibilities:
-Keeping meeting rooms clean and tidy providing coffee/tea when requested
-Greeting our guests with a smile on reception desk
-Scanning receipts and keeping on top of expenses
-Answering the phone in a professional manner and directing calls to the necessary personnel
-Assisting the Operations Manager and Office Manager wherever needed with research, company events etc.
-Assist Office Manager with arranging domestic and international travel including itineraries, hotel bookings, and car rental
-Compose emails, letters and other materials for distribution as requested
-Order office/coffee shop supplies
-Ad hoc tasks as and when required
Outside coffee shop hours, you’ll be on hand and willing to engage with the administrative team wherever your help is needed. You’ll know how to multi-task and manage your responsibilities in a timely manner, and won’t be afraid to contribute to the office culture.
Desired Skills, Knowledge and experience:
-At least two years independent coffee shop experience, with SCAA certified training or equivalent
-Be comfortable using speciality coffee machines, experience with La Marzocca machines (which is the one we have) is a bonus, but not a necessity.
-A creative mindset and passion for great coffee, both of which will be put to use when organizing office events
-Excellent communication skills with confidence
-A self starter
-Attention to detail, thorough and accurate
-Organised and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
-experience in an admin role is preferred but not essential
-Computer literate (Particularly Excel / Power Point / Word / Google Drive and Gmail).
The whole office uses Gmail/Google Drive
-Fluent in English
-Bachelor's degree is a plus, but not a necessity.
