Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Barista to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time permanent contract and will receive a salary of £9.75 per hour.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within a new and vibrant coffee bar at the Darwin Court Healthy Living Centre.
This is an annualised hours contract where you are paid to work an average of up to 584 hours over the year. The contact offers flexibility with periods of non-working. There will be a combination of compulsory and flexible hours that you will be required to work. This way of working will provide you with guaranteed income for the year. You will be required to cover for employee sickness absence, annual leave and any other absences.
We are looking for a Barista to deliver the day to day operation of the coffee bar. Including the making of a range of coffee bar drinks, some food preparation, restocking, delivery of goods and ensuring its smooth running and excellent delivery of this service to all customers and creating a strong community feel
Knowledge/experience/ Skills required to become our Barista:
- Proven interpersonal skills - able to develop good work relationships, enjoy meeting and working with people at all levels and from diverse walks of life.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work quickly and calmly  under pressure while remaining  welcoming and friendly to customers
- Proactive
- experience in working with a fast paced, customer focused environment.
Qualifications required:
- Basic food hygiene certificate
Shift pattern which our Barista would be required to work:
- Monday - Saturday 8am - 4pm or 10:30am - 6:30pm on a rolling Rota basis.
