We are looking for a fun, friendly cafe assistant to join our family at The Deck Cafe.
The Deck Cafe sits on the roof of a 7 Storey office building situated in the City of London between Monument and Tower Hill (EC3R 8 HL), with beautiful views across the Thames to Tower Bridge and The Shard.
We provide the office workers of the building with a friendly, informal service of hot and cold drinks, a selection of salads and sandwiches, hot lunches, and all day snacks.
The roof terrace is also available for private hire, so we regularly host drinks receptions in the evenings.
We generally operate from 8am until 6pm, staying open late (9pm) on Thursdays and Fridays. As we are in the city we are not open over the weekend.
The ideal candidate to join our family will have:
- strong communication skills, able to build rapport with regular customers,
- a pro-active approach, able to work off their own initiative,
- some coffee making/barista knowledge,
- a big SMILE and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
We can offer 30 to 40 hours per week, a competitive salary, regular company incentives and rewards, plus weekends off (who ever heard of weekends off in hospitality!).
