We are currently recruiting for part-time bar staff at The Sultan pub, voted Time Out magazine’s best pub in Wimbledon 2021 and CAMRA South West London Pub of The Year 2021. Hop Back brewery’s only London pub, The Sultan is a hidden gem in South Wimbledon serving fine Ales and a great selection of wines.
With regular beer festivals and events such as quiz nights, open mic nights and various functions, this is an ideal position for someone with a passion for quality beer and getting involved in the local community.
We are a small team and are looking for someone who can bring their own ideas and energy to the team.
As a bar person your main duties would include:
• serving customers
• collecting payment and operating the till
• providing snacks, such as crisps and nuts. We also have a limited food menu so you may be required to prepare and serve sandwiches.
You would be responsible for keeping the bar area clean and well stocked, adhering to food hygiene and health and safety requirements.
A key role would be in creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and talking with customers.
Essential
- Excellent communication skills.
- experience working in a customer facing role.
- Be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Smart and tidy appearance.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- A flexible approach to work with willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Applicants must be over 18 and eligible to work in the UK.

- Knowledge of real Ales.
- Bar experience.
