Bar and Tennis Club Assistant Job

Work at the club involves serving members, ensuring that the club house and changing rooms are clean and tidy at all times, as well as ensuring the grounds and facility is kept in best condition and clay courts are maintained, watered and in some cases brushed ready for members to use.
A detailed summary of the role is provided below:
1. Bar work includes serving of club members and their guests with bar drinks, coffee, confectionery and sandwiches. experience in use of coffee machines to make range of coffees id preferable
2. Dusting and tidying up the club house, bar, outside area and kitchen to ensure it is presentable at all times.
3. Answering the phone and booking courts for members (use of court booking system)
4. Dealing with potential members and explaining club membership types and what club offers
5. Deal with membership renewals
6. Use of till and card payment method
7. Ensuring changing rooms are inspected, cleaned and tidied up at all times
8. Clearing, washing up and putting away used cups and glasses, manually and using the glass washer
9. Ensuring clay courts are ready for members to play on when they arrive for their session
10. Use of the till, collecting coaching fees, guest fees, all payments, membership renewals and new membership fees
11. Issuing membership cards to members and entering on booking system
12. Ensure checklists are adhered to at end of shift
13. Locking up of the club at end of shift
14. Ensure club rules are adhered to by members and their guests (conduct/dress code/…)
15. Operate watering system as needed
16. Looking after plants and facility grounds
17. Learn how to operate clay court watering equipment
18. Ensure club policies are adhered to including Health and Safety policy and incident
reporting
Cleanliness, friendliness and the concept of 'customer is always right' underpin the way this club is run. Candidates must be able to demonstrate these values. A three months probationary period is in place if you are successful in your application.
The current cover is for Sundays 10.30 am to closing (usually 6.30pm), Mondays 5.00 pm to closing (usually around 10.30 pm - 11.00pm). There is the possibility of additional hours on Fridays and covering for holidays/sickness.
