Banqueting Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Ampersand, an experienced player specialising in bespoke catering at some of the UK's most iconic venues and visitors attractions.
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7

Job specification, Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the smooth running of the Club Events and External Hospitality at the club.
As main contact on the day to organisers and guests.
Managing a team of up to 15 -20 members of staff.
Control costs and revenue in line with budgets set reporting to the General Manager.
Producing weekly Rota for the banqueting department to ensure that the levels of service are maintained and budgets are achieved.
To provide training for staff with in the department.
Ensure all events are charged correctly as per the details set out in the Event Planners.
Work closely with the General Manager, Chef and Events Executive to improve and uphold standards and provide the best possible experience for members and guests at events.
Be involved in stock taking and inventory of beverages and equipment.
Be passionate about hospitality and great customer service.
Working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and evenings.
Quality Standards
To ensure that legal and company requirements are adhered to in respect of Hygiene, Health and Safety, Employment Law, and Food Safety Law for all staff, visitors and customers
To ensure that all the unit standards, administration, payroll, cash control, stock control and security procedures are accurate and in accordance with CH and Co policies and procedures
 Organise work throughout the unit in a manner that facilitates efficient
customer service and profitable operations
 To strive to continually exceed Customer expectations and provide excellent
customer care
 Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage and operate with a
focus on innovation, standards and market awareness
People Management
 To ensure all employees in the unit adhere to the correct standards of dress
and appearance as set out in Company handbook
 To ensure through effective communication, that all unit employees consistently demonstrate an excellent level of customer care, selling
techniques, merchandising skills and knowledge of current promotions
 To ensure recruitment, induction, training, promotion, performance
management, development and discipline of all employees occurs in the
units. Full job performance of all employees to be achieved through
accordance with company employment and equal opportunities policies.
Appropriate records must be kept.
 To establish a committed and motivated Team focused on the delivery of
CH and Co values
 To ensure effective selling opportunities are supported by all staff having full
product knowledge of all items available
