Bank Support Worker Beckenham Bromley

Posted: 7 days ago
Place: Beckenham Bromley

We have an exciting opportunity for Bank/Casual staff to join our team.
Our pool of Bank staff are vital to ensure that our services are resourced by experienced and familiar staff during periods of expected and unexpected absence (eg holidays, training or sickness).
You will work on a non-guaranteed hours contract, and called upon (sometimes at short notice) to provide cover to services in your local area.  You will be paid each month for the hours you have worked during the previous month.
This sort of position is ideal for someone looking for more flexibility with the hours they can work.
Main responsibilities The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and choice.  Our main priority, therefore, is to find support workers with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.
Could this be you?
Your duties will be varied and no two days will be the same.  You'll be providing support for day-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment, holidays etc along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management.  In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care.
Once you click "Apply", you will be asked a few questions regarding your status and preferences.  Please be as honest as possible as it will help us to find the best service and position for you.
Ideal candidate You will be a dedicated worker who is perhaps not able to join the permanent staff due to other commitments, but would like to be part of the CMG family.
We believe that a successful Support Worker doesn’t always have experience, but shares our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must.
An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and some experience in care work would be an added bonus, but we have a fantastic in-house training team who can help you along if you are taking your first steps in your career as a support worker.
Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.
About the companyCMG is a leading provider of support to people with learning disabilities and other complex needs.
The services we provide include:

Residential care
Supported living
Respite
Daycare

CMG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the people we support, adults and children, and expect all staff to share this commitment.
