Bank Retail Assistant – Charity Shops and Cafe
We are inviting candidates with a positive, caring and ‘can-do’ attitude to join our retail team on a bank basis.
This role will require you to work across our retail sites, which include our two charity shops, based in Orpington and Bromley, as well as our Café based within The Mall near Bromley South. You will assist and support the Management team in the overall running of the shops and café, whilst providing a high-quality retail service to our customers.
Summary of Duties
Café
• Serve all products in a friendly manner, ensuring customers are educated on product range and services
• Ensure a high standard of hygiene when preparing beverages and food for customers
• Maintain an understanding of various types of coffee, tea products, blends and roasts
• Ensure transactions are entered correctly into the till system
• Be familiar with, and adhere to, the policies and procedures of the café
• Be aware of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) within the kitchen.
Charity Shop
• Provide a high level of customer service to members of the public, promoting Mission Care’s ethos and values
• Assist with deliveries and stock control
• Assist with pricing and sorting merchandise
• Assist customers with enquiries
• Demonstrate good attention to detail
Skills required
You will need to have a mature and responsible attitude to work, with the ability to perform tasks of a physical nature. A positive, “can-do” is also a must.
