Our client is one of the UK's largest international removals and shipping company and handles around 20,000 individual baggage shipments and overseas removals annually. They been established for over 30 years and have an unrivalled reputation for friendly, professional and efficient relocation services.
Main Duties
To assist the Department Manager in all aspects of baggage and export car/vehicle sales.
Responsibilities
• to answer customer enquiries - baggage and cars/vehicles
• to correctly advise potential customers of the services offered by the Company
• to issue all quotations within a maximum of 48 hours of enquiry
• to offer all customers insurance
• to ensure receipt of customer's acceptance - either in the form of shipping instructions or other written confirmation
• to issue country guides/information sheets as required
• to book and process all jobs
• to issue invoices in a timely manner and ensure payment
• to have up-to-date knowledge of Customs procedures/regulations
• to ensure that correct paperwork is sent to the customer
• to ensure that the Baggage Manager is kept informed of all problems
• to answer all department 'phone calls before the 5 ring and connect the party to the correct contact within 1 minute
• to maintain confidentiality at all times
• to comply with all aspects of Health and Safety
• to comply with the Environmental Policy
• any other duties as may be requested by the Company
