Beef and Brew is about to open its second site, this time in Hackney. We’ll continue to have a high quality menu, with a focus on affordable steaks, but we’ll be extending the menu to reflect the environment. There will be more sides, bar snacks and the odd seafood dish too.
We’re looking for a whole new team to compliment our existing group. We want a great working environment, with confident, talented chefs. Work should be fun, as well as serious. We’re not fans of the old school military environment with 100-hour weeks. We want a self-motivated and mature team that can deliver.

Head chef - £35k
You should have the following skill set:
- Management experience, having run a team previously. This could be as a Sous Chef.
- experience maintaining gross margins.
- experience designing and maintaining an efficient and effective Rota, with specific percentage targets.
- A capacity to maintain high standards of hygiene with associated HACCP requirements. experience dealing with EHO essential.
- An understanding of modern, high quality and simple food.
- Demonstrate a capacity to understand our menu and its evolving requirements.
- You should have experience cooking in all sections of the kitchen.
Sous chef - £27-30k
You should have the following skill set:
- Grill experience, in a high volume environment.
- An understanding of modern, high quality and simple food.
- Demonstrate a capacity to understand our menu and its evolving requirements.
- Management experience preferred but not essential.
- experience maintaining gross margins.
- An understanding of high standards of hygiene with associated HACCP requirements.
Chef de partie - £22-25k
You should have the following skill set:
- You should be able to run a section of the kitchen, confidently in a busy service.
- Be capable of maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality;
- You should have experience cooking with meat;
- You should be enthusiastic to improve your knowledge and skills.
