The Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 3 dining spaces: Verdi Italian Kitchen, Coda by Eric Chavot, Elgar Bar and Grill, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and offers seated dinners for up to 2000 guests on a special raised floor in the auditorium. The back of house and kitchen operation is on site as this business functions as a self contained unit. There are over 380 shows per year and the venue has a seating capacity of 5500.
We are now looking for a Back of House Porter / Events Set Up Assistant to join our back of House team.
Job Overview:
To set boxes before performances.
To clean and tidy away equipment.
To prepare the equipment for events and hospitality.
To clean and tidy the canteen equipment.
Operational responsibilities:
Boxes set-up in an efficient and timely manner.
Ensuring equipment is not damaged in transit.
Dry and stack all washed crockery, cutlery, glassware and equipment in the correct boxes and areas.
Removal of all rubbish from catering corridor to loading bay complying with the R.A.H recycling policy.
Move any furniture and general equipment listed by BOH Manager around the building.
Clean and clear the catering corridor and BOH areas in accordance with cleaning schedule.
Clean and clear the staff changing area.
Collect and distribute/store all rhubarb deliveries for Operations department in accordance with the procedures in place.
Clean the canteen equipment and facilities as per the canteen cleaning schedules in place.
