The Role
Petersham Nurseries are looking for an dynamic, positive and organised Back of House Manager to join our team.
This role will suit a candidate with a strong background, preferably from a fast pace environment or a hotel background. This candidate should be prepared to accept the challenge this role. You will be working closely with our senior management and head of departments. You will cultivate an excellent working partnership with the kitchen team and the restaurant management team.
Key responsibilities:
·Ensure that the control system (stock reports, order sheets, inventory) is updated regularly with agreed changes to suppliers, products and pricing.
·Manage all breakage/stock take reports are produced monthly.
·Liaise with the management on all cutlery, crockery, glassware orders and stock take.
·Coordinate all stationary, laundry, office supplies orders.
·Oversee the stock level of all IT equipment and its allocation within the business.
·Ensure that the heads of departments are aware of supplier prices and agreements.
·Ensure accuracy in all supplier pricing templates.
·Monitor supplier performance.
·Managing Goods in Personnel ensuring orders / deliveries are adhered to in accordance with company policies and procedures.
·Adhering to budget, raising orders, ensuring all items are received.
·Management and organisation.
·Diary and correspondence management, meeting coordination, and general assistance.
·Administrative duties to oversee all of the aspects above and below.
·Good knowledge of hospitality industry and its requirement.
·Maintaining clean and clean work places, both BOH and FOH.
·Excellent communication between all departments at all levels.
·Waste management services
·External suppliers, communication and budgeting.
·Smooth day to day operation of the building and operations of the BOH.
·Financial planning and execution of all budgets set.
·Full Back of House Auditing and compliance management.
