B2B Marketing and Events Manager

We are a marketing consultancy focused on connecting business-to-business digitally, socially and personally.
Our business began in 2002 focusing on value proposition refinement, copy-writing and sales collateral development, which soon extended to meeting setting. The contact database and services expanded to include lead generation, event attendee generation, awareness campaigns through digital marketing – and then the creation of our own pre-built event formats.
We manage a number of cross-industry brands through our B2B marketing consultancy including; Chief Wine Officer, Chief Golf Officer and the Chief Beer Officer- our VIP networking experiences and corporate events, and our Nation Decision-Maker Communities which cover a number of industries and themes.
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
We are looking for an experienced, Native or fluent German speaking events professional with a passion for accounts management and delighting your customers, to work in our London offices. The successful candidate will have experience in managing corporate clients, great IT skills and a strong grasp of what makes compelling events aimed at a senior-level business audience.
The B2B Marketing and Events Manager - German Territories will be a part of the agency’s growing team and will be responsible for working with on active client campaigns, aimed at Germany and other regions, which include working with the biggest names in the technology sector.
The role will involve some travel to German-speaking countries.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help manage and drive key accounts and key campaigns on behalf of the company, especially in German-speaking countries - and assist in achieving outstanding project delivery to assist growth in Europe.
Implement ‘new services and projects’ as assigned to you to support additional revenue growth and raising the company’s profile, particularly in German speaking countries.
Help support the Managing Director, Sales Director and Operations Director, administer the office and client accounts as necessary and required within a small company.
Work closely with the team to integrate yourself with the culture and strengths inherent in the business.
Working within budgets to ensure that campaign delivery is always profitable.
KEY COMPETENCIES
The successful candidate will be expected to have:
- A passion for events and account management
- Native German speaker or fluent in German to a business level
- Excellent written English and the ability to write concise copy where every word counts
- At least two years' experience working for an events company or in an events-led environment - preferably B2B
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- A desire to impress and develop your skills
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Be educated to degree level, or CIM qualified
- A keen interest in technology
- Have experience in dealing with a demanding workload and juggling multiple projects/brands on a regular basis
- Be highly IT literate, with experience of content management systems, marketing automation systems, and experience with design or development
