*** AUTISM TEACHING ASSISTANT ****** as soon as possible START ****** SOUTHWARK ***A 3 form entry primary school in Southwark is recruiting a SEN teaching assistant to start as soon as possible This is a full time post until the end of the academic year. Pupils at the school are making good progress, due to a broad and balanced curriculum. The school also encourages students to partake in a range of extra-curricular activities, especially PE.The successful applicant will be supporting a student in Y3 who has Autism. He is confident academically, although requires support in lessons to stay on task. The student also struggles with self-esteem, confidence and has communication difficulties. Working closely with the SENCO you will use specific techniques and activities to improve the student's confidence and social skills. The selected candidate will be confident supporting students on a 1:1 basis and reporting back to SLT.
