We are a happy and energetic family of four - Mum (Victoria), Dad (Mitchell), Charlotte (8) and Cameron (6). We also have two cats.
We are looking for a new au pair to join our family and we would like to welcome you into our home for at least 9 months so you can get to know the children and provide consistency as well as have fun and nurture them. It is essential that you are a driver and that you do not smoke.
We expect the role to be an average of 30 hours a week - less when the children are at school (around 25 hours) and more in the holidays (around 35/40 hours). There is the chance for you to study during the day 09:00-14:45 during school term.
Duties include helping with breakfast, morning and afternoon school runs, pick up and drop off to different after school activities, cooking meals for the children, dressing and bathing, helping with homework/ reading, taking them on outings, babysitting and light housework. We have a cleaner twice a week. There will also be small errands to do from time to time, such as buying milk, going to the post office.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and safety conscious - we are trusting you with our most prized possessions!
The working times can vary with some early starts and late finishes, although also with some later starts and early finishes from time to time. Our au pair will therefore need to be flexible.
You will have a good sized room, with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower-room, and will have access to WiFi. You will be given membership of a gym/ swimming pool which is available in the evenings and weekends during school term time, and also during the day when the school holidays are on. We will pay for your food, UK mobile telephone, and provide an osyter card for travelling around London (for work and for personal travel). In addition, you can use the car in your spare time unless we need it (which is not very often).
Finally we will provide you with £120-140 pocket money per week - amount to be agreed. There may be scope for additional work if you would like it - gardening, cleaning, ironing for example.
We have friends in the area who also have au pairs and we would be happy to introduce you to their au pairs. We also have friends who may be interested in additional babysitting from time to time.
You must have the right to work in the UK. We will not sponsor visas.
Please apply with your CV, a recent photograph of yourself and the date you can start if selected.
We can interview anyone who is already in London as soon as possible and otherwise we can set up Skype interviews.
