Overview
Fun-loving and easy going professional family of four living in North West London, looking for an enthusiastic Live in au pair/nanny to look after two children (one girl, age 9; one boy, age.
6) From September 2022. The au pair/nanny will have their own bedroom and use of a kitchen and bathroom in a house with our Neighbours as a lodger. This is situated three houses from the family (on the same road), providing personal independence and remaining part of the household at the same time.
Overall hours 25- 35 hours each week.
Parents usually arrive home between 18.30 and 19.30, but occasional babysitting (once or twice a week) after 19.30 may be required until ~22.00-22.30.
Occasional childcare for up to 4 hours on Saturday or Sunday and babysitting on a Friday or Saturday evening may also be required.
Daily duties include:
Preparing children for school in the morning and taking to school in South Harrow for 8 am.
Collection from school in South Harrow at 4pm and bringing them home.
Taking the children to and from after school activities e.g. Swimming, music, play dates, after school clubs, etc.
Help with homework e.g. Reading, writing and maths
Cooking dinner for our kids and tidying up afterwards
Organising after school activities such as play dates, baking, drawing, trips to the play ground, etc.
Playing with our children including board games and outdoor activities. Taking them to parks and museums etc
Getting them ready for bed, including bath and bed time stories, and putting to bed if Mum or Dad is not home
We do have a cleaner who cleans the house one day per week, however, our au pair would also be required to help with some light housework:
- clearing up after meal times,
- general tidy up of Toys etc,
- ironing,
- vacuuming once a week,
- laundry,
- cleaning the children's bathroom once a week.
It is very important that our Au Pair/Nanny is a clean and tidy person.
Essential requirements:
Strong English language skills (another language would be ideal)
experience as a nanny or babysitter in the UK
Non-smoker
Flexible
Driving ability preferred, and clean driving licence required. Driving not necessary.
Energetic, interested in a wide variety of sports, cooking, puzzles, games, music, art and creative play
Current DBS check and First Aid Qualification from the past 3 years
Excellent, verifiable references
