Working afternoons only, so free to study or work until 3pm.
Hours of work
3 – 7Pm Monday to Friday, and a maximum of three evenings babysitting a week on any evening including weekends.
Accommodation:
A large bedroom on the top floor of our house, with separate kitchen/dining room and bathroom shared with our long-term lodger.   Meals with the children when working.
Remuneration:
£80 A week 'pocket money' (tax free), with four weeks paid holiday a year, and all bank holidays.
Overtime:
Occasional additional work, for example during the day at weekends, in school holidays or when the children are sick, will be paid at £10 an hour, or taken against time off in lieu.
Responsibilities

To collect our daughter from the local school which is 10 minutes’ walk across the park.  (Our son comes home from school by bus on his own.)
To help them with homework, craft projects, games, performances, music practice, etc. (We do not want the children simply to sit in front of the television or computer screen when they get back from school.)
To take the children to local clubs, lessons and playdates, and collect them afterwards as necessary.
To cook a healthy supper for them, to eat with them and clear, wash-up and put utensils away afterwards.
To wash, iron and put away the children’s clothes.  And to wash and change their bed-clothes every week.
To tidy and clean the children’s rooms, including sorting out their Toys, emptying their bins and dusting and hoovering when necessary.
To tidy and clear away the children’s things from the kitchen and drawing room, keeping the kitchen and drawing room as tidy as possible.
To buy food and other items as required, we will provide you with a purse and money, and an Oyster card for trips made with the children.
You will be expected to babysit a maximum of three times a week, and this will include Saturdays and Sundays.  We will try to give you at least one week’s notice of these times. Babysitting will involve putting the children to bed and staying in all evening to be on hand if they need you.  Once the children are in bed you are free to go to your own room and do what you want, including going to sleep.
We may need you to work extra time at weekends for special events such as birthday parties, during the day during school holidays, and if the children are sick and off school.  Again, we will try to give you as much notice as possible, and we will pay you £10 an hour, or else give you time off in lieu for any extra hours worked.

Situation
You will share the top floor of the house with our lodger who has lived with us for 14 years.  She is a quiet and lovely dance teacher, working in the school opposite our house.  You will have your own large bedroom, and share a kitchen/diner, toilet, shower and washing machine with her.  The children are not allowed up to the top floor unless you invite them, and you and her are responsible for keeping it clean and tidy (our cleaner does not clean the top floor). Most of the furniture and utensils in the shared areas belong to our lodger, but she is happy for you to use them.  We will provide a television and wifi.

Terms and conditions

Remuneration
You will receive £80 ‘pocket money’ a week – this is tax free.
Contract
The contract is for one year, starting on 3rd September 2022.  The contract may be extended.  Either party may terminate the contract by giving four weeks’ notice.
Accommodation
You will have your own large room on the top floor, with a separate shower and toilet and kitchen/diner which you will share with our lodger.
