We are looking for an au pair for our two boys, aged 5 and 7, in Teddington (West London) from this September.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can speak good English
- Is sporty or at least happy to kick a ball around in the garden with the kids (they love sport!)
- Can drive (we would provide a driving lesson to get used to the UK)
- Is happy to do some light housework and cooking
- Can be proactive and 'Muck in'
- Can start this September and stay until at least next summer
- Can provide references
We are a pretty easy going family and you will need to work max 25 hours per week plus 1-2 nights babysitting. You will normally have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off (unless I need to work Friday or we need weekend babysitting). During school term time your normal hours will be Monday to Thursday 3.15-6.30pm and two mornings a week before school. We would like a bit of flexibility if I need to travel or work but this would always be agreed in advance. During the holiday the children will sometimes go to camps and we will sometimes ask you to look after them all day. Any additional hours will be paid for.
You will have a lovely large, light, double bedroom with TV and wifi, next door to the bathroom which is shared with the children. There are lots of other au pairs in the area and also language schools near by. From Teddington train station you can get into London Waterloo or you can get a bus from right outside our house to nearby Richmond where you can get the tube into London (it depends where you are going on what is best). We will also provide phone, travel card and credit card for shopping outings with the kids etc if needed.
Pocket money and other payment (eg for language school, travel card etc) to be agreed. We are looking for the right person for our family and would not want money to be a barrier to the right match so would be happy to discuss this. We are happy to pay for the right person
