Lovely family with 2 kids, a girl age 8 and a boy age 5, seeking an organised, happy, energetic au pair to help look after our lively, affectionate, well-mannered children.
We live in a large, comfortable house in Hampstead Garden Suburb with a nice garden. It is a lovely part of NW London with plenty of trees and parks, just 30 minutes from the city centre by bus or train.  There are great facilities nearby including gyms, cafes and tennis courts.
The role is for 20 hours a week plus babysitting during term, rising to around 25 hours in school holidays.  Duties will include:

Helping get the kids up and ready for school each morning (7-8am)
Dropping them off at school 3-4 mornings a week by car, taxi or public transport (8-9am Monday-Thursday)
Collecting children from school 3 afternoons a week, doing their homework, playing with them, and making a healthy supper (3-6pm Monday-Thursday)
Babysitting once per week mid-week and once at the weekend, usually a Saturday night (7.30-11.30pm)
Keeping the children’s rooms and playroom clean, tidy and organised.
Helping keep the rest of the house clean and tidy, doing some ironing and running occasional errands.  Note we do have a separate regular cleaner.

You will be:

Available from the start of September and able to commit to at least 11 months.
Experienced in looking after similar age children.
A fluent English speaker able to help with homework and reading with the kids.
At least 20 years of age and preferably a bit older.
A healthy, active, non-smoker
Happy to eat vegetarian or kosher food only in our house.
Ideally, an experienced driver with a license that allows you drive in the UK.

We will provide competitive pay and 4-5 weeks paid holiday for the right person.  You will benefit from sole use of the top floor, including a newly refurbished large bedroom, with TV, WiFi and a new luxury en-suite bathroom.  We’ll also ensure you have a great experience here in London, introducing you to other au pairs and nannies in the area.
