We are currently recruiting a Norwegian speaking Attorney to join our Scandinavian trademark team. You'll be based at our London office.
Trademack is one of the leading IP firms in Europe. With Trademack clients can easily and cost efficiently file their trademarks in the most important jurisdictions through simple online forms. Our legal experts will review the applications, conduct initial searches and make all necessary amendments.
A brand or trademark is arguably one of the most valuable asset in a business. The customer base is built around your brand, the marketing directly increases the value of the brand – most companies would be set back nearly to scratch without their brand.
When a client filing a trademark through Trademack, we will initiate a trademark search and comparison in the relevant jurisdictions, alerting client of any issues, such as competing registrations. Based on the initial search, we will tailor the application to give the client the best possible protection within their industry. We will act as agent and prepare all documents and filings and correspond directly with the relevant registrars. Registering a trademark through Trademack saves the client time, money and offers the best possible protection.
Our Scandinavian Trademark team works with an exceptionally diverse range of clients – from the biggest household names to the latest start-up ventures – advising them on protecting their brands in territories across the world.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, focused and commercially aware. They will also be keen to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the world, and will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
What You'll Do:
- Work on trademark filing, prosecution and dispute matters, including litigation and opposition/cancellation work.
- Assist with policing trademarks, including researching and working up dispute matters, drafting cease and desist letters, preparing social media takedowns, domain name takedowns and domain name disputes.
- Assist with management of international trademark portfolios, including trademark prosecution.
- Assist with trademark searching/clearance and providing analysis of potential risk of conflict and/or other risks to securing trademark protection.
- Help educate company employees on intellectual property, including how to issue spot and handle intellectual property issues.
Who You Are:
- Broad IP experience, including trademark prosecution and counseling, experience with takedown requests, trademark searching/clearance, policing and litigation. experience with trademark licensing (inbound and outbound) a plus.
- Strong research and investigative skills, including deep knowledge of utilizing NIPO, TMVIEW and Tess to conduct free form/advanced searches.
General skills:
- Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple portfolios and matters – handling work both directly and through delegation to team members.
- Strong client focus.
- Commercially driven.
- Able to develop professional relationships and build business through diverse networks.
