Active Minds Education runs tuition classes in Canning Town and Mile End. Classes run for 2 hours (4pm - 6pm), 2 days per week. We are looking to hire an assistant tutor for part time work.
You will work with small groups of children and support them with their maths and English tasks. You need to be good with children of all different ages and show encouragement and enthusiasm while working with them. No planning will be done by the assistant.
Requirements:
* Must have good command of the English language and well spoken.
* Neat handwriting and good written English.
* Have at least grade A - C (new grade 4 – 5) or above in GCSE maths and English.
* Aged at least 18 or over
* Show an interest in or have worked with children, either paid or voluntarily.
Desirable:
* Ideally the candidate would be very confident in GCSE maths with a grade A* - B (new grade 9 – 6).
This position would suit a Teaching assistant or an undergrad student studying a course in education.
