Assistant Restaurant Manager for Elgar Bar and Grill - rhubarb at The Royal Albert Hall
rhubarb is expanding its family at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
With 18 years experience offering deliciously different food and drink; and service standards that are second to none, rhubarb is regarded as superstars in the world of catering.
Since January 2011, rhubarb have been at the Royal Albert Hall providing all food and drink at one of the world's most iconic venues. The Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 6 dining spaces: Verdi Italian Kitchen, Coda Restaurant, Elgar Bar and Grill, Cloudy Bay Seafood Bar, Berry Brothers Wine Bar, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and offers seated dinners for up to 2000 guests on a special raised floor in the auditorium.
There is now an exciting opportunity to join the ever-growing, dynamic team at the Royal Albert Hall and be a part of the story rhubarb is writing.
We are recruiting a self motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager who is ready for a new professional challenge in this bespoke Premium environment.
Job role
- Reporting into the Restaurant General Manager you will oversee all aspects of the day to day management for the Restaurant, to ensure that the team deliver the rhubarb product in quality, consistency and presentation and also within the financial parameters of the annual budget.
- You will be required to drive revenue performance and maximizing seating capacities whilst developing additional revenue streams to improve restaurant and bar sales at high standards at all times.
- You will be an ambassador for rhubarb's brand and build up relation shift with both internal and external guests.
- Your job role requires you to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery whilst proactively seeking improvements and reacting to challenges as they arise.
- You will drive revenue performance and maximize sales opportunities. Being able to resolve in a prompt and timely manner customer issues and provide an adequate solutions.
Candidate profile
- You will have proven track record of achieving and exceeding set operational target and work experience within a similar Fine dining/ retail or fast paced environment
- You will be an excellent team player, lead by example and be able to communicate at all levels.
- You should possess a sound knowledge of MS office skills and have previous working experience of Micros POS systems.
- You will have the ability to motivate, develop and lead the team by demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm.
- You will show relevant diplomacy and tact and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work long flexible and long hours.
