Rhubarb are looking for an exceptional Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our talented team at Gallery Mess at The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea.
Gallery Mess is operated by rhubarb and is a café/restaurant/bar located at Duke of York’s Headquarters in Chelsea. Both the interior and the outside terrace are breath-taking spaces and feature some of the Gallery’s most fabulous contemporary art. Gallery Mess serves a delicious marriage of food and art all day and is a superb evening venue too, with a stunning bar serving classic cocktails.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager or experienced Floor Manager to take their career to the next level.
The role

As Assistant Restaurant Manager you will be working closely with the GM, and COO to ensure premium service delivery at all times, across our 190 cover restaurant, PDR and beautiful outdoor terrace.
The successful Assistant Restaurant Manager will be responsible for leading a team of up to 20 waiting staff; coaching and training, recruitment, retention and development.
Administration tasks and data management include restaurant P and L;, staff Rota, Micros reports and cash handing. This includes stock control and finance reporting.

The person

The successful Assistant Restaurant Manager - or strong and experienced Floor Manager- must have gained previous working experience within a premium restaurant or 5* hotel background, and have strong leadership skills as well as an understanding of P and L;
Immaculately presented, client facing and service – focused, with a sense of urgency and excellent knowledge of the London-particularly Chelsea restaurant scene.
As Assistant Restaurant Manager you must be able to commit to flexible work pattern undertaking evening shifts as well as weekend work.

Salary up to £28,000 plus bonus
