Assistant Production Manager Needed

Want to make cocktails? Join a fast growing business shaking up the drinks industry. Pontoon is a London based production facility that manufactures alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails for the licensed on-trade.
There is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our lively team. As our Assistant Production Manager, you’ll be providing vital support for our fast paced and dynamic, growing business.
The jobs main role will be leading the kitchen team during day-to-day production and the maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness.
This role will suit a passionate and proactive individual with the drive and determination to develop and grow with a young and innovative company.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Produce and blend cocktails that are prepared according to Pontoon production recipes and complete associated paperwork.
Ensure that all technical procedures and policies are robustly adhered to in production.
Assist the Production Manager on briefing the staff on the day’s production and plan of action for the forthcoming week.
To provide an efficient, clean and organised production environment.
Ensure that all production staff uphold high standards of hygiene and housekeeping by adopting a clean-as-you-go philosophy, carrying out factory inspections and managing cleaning duties.
Check that all equipment is kept in excellent working condition through inspection.
Help minimise wastage through careful stock control and managing stock rotation.
Complete daily and weekly factory checks e.g. Recording temperature of fridges and freezers.
Accepting incoming deliveries
Supervising dispatch of finished products.
During exceptionally busy periods split shifts will be required with the Production Manager.
Any other reasonable task asked by a member of management.

Daily Duties

Taking deliveries of raw materials
Production of cocktails and filling out batch code information sheets.
Prepping compounds for production – juicing fruit, creating syrups and teas etc.
Cleaning as per the cleaning schedule
Swabbing as per procedure
Despatch of finished cocktails

Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with an eye for detail. Honest and reliable. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team player.
Computer skills: Basic computer skills required.
Literacy and Numeracy: Must be sufficiently literate and numerate to be able to achieve the administrative and record keeping requirements of the role.
Hours: 0900-1800 Monday to Friday. Applicants must be able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
