We are Scandi Kitchen and we're looking for a really nice Assistant Manager - ideally a Barista who also has good people management experience in a siilar environment.
Our cafe is open 7 days a week and we are split between being a cafe and a deli full of Scandinavian food products - so we are both retail and cafe environment. We have a team of 12 people working here, ensuring anyone who visits gets a feel for Scandinavian food and culture.
Requirements:
- People management experience.
- A solid amount of experience as a Barista
- Stand in as Cafe Manager when required (holidays, weekly cover)
- Available 40 hours a week including some weekend work
- Opening, closing, cash responsibilities.
- Loves coffee and has a keen interest in Scandi food.
- Great interpersonal skills, logic and problem solving skills and an all round team player.
You must have great people skills, customer service skills - a you're a cheerful person who knows the difference between 'service' and 'genuine hospitality'.
Of course, you need to have an understanding of Scandinavian food - it's a plus if you know one of our languages, but not essential. We really want a person who can help lead the front of house team and bring the team to a new level.

- A chance for a step into a team trainer role, as we are planning to expand this year and want to train the new team as we go along (ie good progression possibilities for this role)
