Ambitious and expanding cafe group, we currently have a popular and established restaurant in South Kensington and cafes in Soho and Fitzrovia with plans to roll out new sites across London.

Tombo Soho, is leading the way in a brand new style of sushi called Poke. Alongside donburi rice bowls and our specialist matcha tea drinks and desserts.
Tombo is an award winning Japanese matcha tea and food concept in London. We have one restaurant in South Kensington and a newly opened matcha and poké sushi cafe in the heart of Soho (Tombo Poké and Matcha Bar).
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to assist the General Manager in the smooth running of Tombo Soho.
- Lead and run cafe when GM is not present.
- Be an expert in making our delicious and unique green tea matcha drinks and desserts.
- Have strong understanding of all site operations and be able to help in all sections when required (drinks, till, kitchen, service)
- Lead the service and manage the team especially during peak periods.
- Attract new customers and retain loyal ones.
- Help reach daily targets
- Ensure healthy and safety regulations are monitored and maintained.
- Ensure smooth and effective running of cafe at all times.
- Place orders and assist with stock take.
- Assist with Rota and labour management
The Candidate:
- At least 2 years experience in a busy cafe / restaurant.
- Knowledge of Fourth Hospitality beneficial but not essential.
- Outgoing and confident personality
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to upsell and enjoy speaking to customers.
- Knowledge of matcha and green tea beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to make latte milk useful
- Passion for sushi and healthy eating
- Reliable, responsible and proactive.
