The Zetter Townhouse Clerkenwell are searching for a hands-on and friendly Assistant Manager. Reporting to the Food and Drink Director and working closely alongside the Assistant Bar Manager, your particular area of focus will be the service in the Zetter Townhouse Cocktail Lounge and Private Dining.

The Zetter Townhouse Clerkenwell is a 13-bedroom Georgian townhouse with an award-winning cocktail lounge. Located just across the cobbles of St John's Square from The Zetter Hotel, this unique property feels more like the private residence of an eccentric (and fabulous!) great aunt than a hotel. The Cocktail Lounge is a collaboration between The Zetter Group's amazing bartenders and Tony Conigliaro (Drinks Factory and 69 Colebrooke Row). Stuffed full of oddities and curios, with an open fire crackling in the grate, the relaxed, informal sitting room is equally suited to a lazy afternoon as it is a night of uproarious revelry.

A multi-Tasker, you will set and oversee standards of service including breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktail lounge and events. Responsible for a team of Waiters, Head Waiter and Events Supervisor you will have a genuine passion for hospitality, be an enthusiastic and engaging Host with an entrepreneurial flair, acting as an ambassador for the Zetter Values of warmth, originality and excellence and ensuring all team members live these values.

Leading by example you will provide a positive and memorable experience to all guests, demonstrating amazing care and thoughtfulness in all your guest and staff interactions, whilst demonstrating financial awareness and a desire drive the business forward. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
What we are looking for in YOU
• A passion for the world of cocktails and wine with strong knowledge and a natural flair to guide and manage an energetic and diverse team.
• Exceptional customer service skills, confident multi-Tasker and exceptional organisation.
• A confident self-starter comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
• A keen eye for detail
• An effective communicator with a natural ability to manage relationships with guests, team members, peers as well as senior management.
• A team player with a cool head and ability to work collaboratively with others towards our goals.
• Previous leadership experience within a small to medium capacity Bar, Restaurant and or Lounge.
What does the ROLE look like?
• Oversee all aspects of Food and Drink service.
• Work with the F and D Director, Sales and PR Teams to develop new ideas, promotions and strategies to maximize revenue.
• Working with other managers/supervisors on staff incentives that drive revenue and motivate the team.
• Work alongside the F and D Director and Assistant Bar Manager to recruit, induct and train an engaged and successful team.
• Focusing on the service delivery, as well as looking at the Financial, Human Resources and H and S aspects of the property and team.
• Deliver inspiring, informative and fun daily briefings, delegating tasks and participating in regular team meetings.
• Develop and train your team to ensure our guests are consistently receiving a great service experience.
• Ensure all records relating to rotas, annual leave, absences and overtime are accurately maintained on Fourth Hospitality.
