We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Assistant General Manager a people person with high street restaurant background to join our beautiful, Strada in More London.
As a Assistant General Manager you will lead and develop the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and maximising sales opportunities to ensure profitability.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities.
Team management
-Train and develop staff to maximize performance and reduce turnover.
-Promote a positive attitude and team ethos, including ‘lead by example’, for the department, setting the pace and standards and encouraging mutual respect.
-Ensure employee conduct, uniform and personal hygiene requirements are adhered to.
-Produce effective rotas to ensure staffing levels are appropriate and efficient.
-Ensure team receive, understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Key relationships
-Hold staff and management meetings on a regular basis to review and improve performance; communicate minutes and actions to General Manager.
-General Manager: Consultation, KPI review, agreeing objectives, skills management and personal development, sharing best practice, placements, training, support.
-Human Resources : Performance Management, recruitment, training, disciplinary procedures, payroll. -Ensure all contract changes/staff amendments are actioned and communicated accurately and efficiently.
-Venue Teams: Liaise with Bar Manager, Head Waiter and Head Runner and Marketing Team to ensure smooth working relationships between all departments.
-Reservations: Table allocations, private hire, customer requests, queries etc.
