Assistant Food and Beverage Purchasing Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate looking to begin or progress their career with a dynamic hospitality company.
Based in Covent Garden, we operate a number of successful restaurants, bars and clubs around London.
Reporting into the F and B Operations Manager and Group Commercial Director, we are preferably looking for a keen, outgoing, graduate educated candidate. Ideally, this new role would suit a first/second jobber but it’s not essential. Whilst previous experience is beneficial, personality and willingness to learn are more important.
Duties to include:
Working to find the best deals for the company
Negotiating prices with existing and new suppliers
Managing relationships with existing suppliers
Sourcing new products
Making recommendations to senior management
Liaising with head chefs to improve supplier product/service
Coming up and applying new ideas
Helping to run wine and spirit tasting classes with the restaurants
Ideally you would be/have:
Strong willingness to learn new things
Preferably educated to graduate level
Fluent verbal and written English
Resourceful and enthusiastic
Strong verbal communication skills
Excellent written communication skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
A passion for Food and Drink would clearly help.
£24-27k per annum negotiable depending on experience, plus performance related bonus + other benefits
