Since January 2011, rhubarb have been at the Royal Albert Hall providing all food and drink at one of the world’s most iconic venues. The Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 3 dining spaces: Verdi Italian Kitchen, Coda by Eric Chavot, Elgar Bar and Grill, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and offers seated dinners for up to 2000 guests on a special raised floor in the auditorium.
There is now an exciting opportunity to join the ever-growing, dynamic team at the Royal Albert Hall and be a part of the story rhubarb is writing.
We are recruiting a self-motivated Assistant Bars Manager, who is ready for a new professional challenge in this bespoke Premium environment.

Job role

In this busy role, the main duties will involve overseeing and managing the 14 bars within the Royal Albert Hall.
As the Assistant Bar Manager you will be passionate about high quality service. And you will be an excellent team player, lead by example and be passionate about sharing your knowledge and skill within an outstanding bar team.
You will have in depth knowledge of the beverages and food provided in all bars. This will enable you to answer staff and customer questions with ease.
Be entirely familiar with the POS/ Micros system to ensure accurate information is entered. Ensure that you log in and out correctly as you are responsible for all transactions carried out under your name.
Be able to tightly control the stock, the cash managements and staff product knowledge.
You will also have the responsibility to implement the health and safety policies the company has in place.

Candidate Profile

Your previous working experience and educational background within retail, multi-site bars environment, will provide a close fit with rhubarb’s commitment to quality, style and flair whilst delivering an outstanding customer service exceeding the set expectations of our clientele.
You will be an excellent team player, lead by example and be able to communicate at all levels and commit to sharing your knowledge and skills within our diverse bars brigade.
You should be certified in H and S; level 2 and Food Safety level 2 and be an accredited Personal licence holder.
You should possess intermediate MS office skills and have previous working experience of Micros POS systems.
Flexible within your working hours you are able to commit to late evening and weekend work.
