Bread By Bike began in a tiny kitchen, where our founder baked sourdough to procrastinate work. When his bread began winning awards and a crowdfunding campaign raised nearly double its target amount, he found premises and set up shop. In the two months Bread By Bike has been open it’s been a huge success, selling out almost every day.
We’re looking for a baker to help us take things to the next level. Working full time (40 hours a week) you’ll be focusing on creating our sourdough every day to the award-winning BBB recipe. This role will grow as the bakery does, so the right candidate will have the freedom to build a team around them and become Head Baker.
We’re looking for a positive, enthusiastic individual who is as passionate about good food as we are. Kitchen experience is preferred but not absolutely essential.
What you’ll need:
- Baking experience, especially working with wild Yeast/sourdough.
- First-hand knowledge of bread-making processes including ingredient measurement, fermentation, mixing, fermentation, shaping, proving, timing etc.
- Passion, enthusiasm and positively.
