It can be very intimidating for any to have to go through a job interview.\u00a0 If this is your fist time interviewing, or if you have to go through an interview after having been employed for many years, nerves can get the best of you.\u00a0 There are many things you can do when preparing you for your job interview that will help you to curb your nerves and to make a good impression.<\/p>\n

You must always remember that there is no way to make up for a bad first impression.\u00a0 This will be the first time your perspective boss will see you so you want to dress appropriately for the interview.\u00a0 If you are a gentleman, make sure you wear nice slacks with a suit jacket and tie.\u00a0 If you do not own a suit jacket, a nice button up, long sleeve shirt with a matching tie will suffice.\u00a0 Facial hair should be removed or trimmed very neatly and hair should be washed and combed.\u00a0 For the ladies, you will want to wear a nice dress or pant suit.\u00a0 Do not wear any clothing that will show too much skin or that is not appropriate for an office.\u00a0 Keep your make up simple and do not pile it on.<\/p>\n

Make sure you learn something about the company where you are applying for a job<\/a> at.\u00a0 This will help you during the interview process.\u00a0 Your interviewer will ask you if you have any questions about the job or company so you will want to have some knowledge of the company.\u00a0 You can even jot down some questions to ask so that you will be prepared.\u00a0 The main fact to keep in mind is to be yourself.\u00a0 You got the interview based on your skills and references, now is the time to let yourself shine by being confident and sure of your abilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
