We are looking for a skilled commis chef or chef de partie to join our small kitchen team at Hood in South London.
Hood is an award winning Modern British restaurant on Streatham Hill. We are independently owned with all three owners working in the business including our Head Chef Mike Brown who honed his skills in the Caprice Holdings Group (most recently at Le Caprice) before joining the Hood team to set up our fab restaurant in February 2015.
We serve dinner Tuesday - Saturday, Weekend Brunch Saturday and Sunday and a hybrid brunch/lunch menu Tuesday - Friday. We are closed Sunday evenings and all day Mondays.
We are a sociable and caring bunch of people. We work hard and share the reward with the service charge being distributed fairly among all front and back of house staff plus cash tips too.
We try to limit overtime to only when absolutely necessary (to cover sickness or holiday) but its paid when you do work overtime.
You will need a minimum of one years strong experience in a great restaurant with excellent spoken and written English. You will need to be a fast learner, be nimble on your feet and have a loud voice so the chef can hear you!
Ideally you will live in South London. All our team are local to our restaurant.
