Sole practitioner with home studio in North London requires an Architectural Assistant to work in a variety of small to medium size projects, predominantly residential.
Will consider either full time or part time arrangement, depending on your individual circumstance.
I undertake some interesting work, ranging from small extensions and Loft conversions to substantive remodelling of large detached houses.
There are also a number of new build blocks of flats.
The position would suit someone with at least 2 years UK Office experience and the role would include:
Assisting with feasibility and design
Preparing drawings for Planning Application and Building Regulations.
Knowledge of statutory requirements will be beneficial.
Undertaking site surveys.
Able to work independently and produce work to a high standard.
You should be conversant with Autocad, 3d Sketch up, PhotoShop, etc.
Self-motivation, eager to learn, enthusiastic and be able to get on with others are all desired personal attributes.
There could also be an opportunity for internship for a newly qualified RIBA Part 1 or a student looking for part time work for 1-2 days per week.
