We are looking for talented, enthusiastic individuals who aspire for a career as a professional Chef. We are offering several people an amazing opportunity to enrol on our Chef Apprenticeship Program to be placed in one of 10 Restaurant, Pastry or Event Kitchens to be taught from Scratch.
The Program
The Ned London Chef Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month course that will give aspiring Chef’s a chance to work their way through several cuisine styles from around the world, learn a host of cooking techniques and work alongside some of the most exciting Chef’s in the industry, all while earning a salary and gaining an industry recognised qualification.
Training
During the 12-month program you will continuously be working towards an NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery and Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English. Your knowledge and skills will be built up from on the job learning. While achieving the Professional Cookery Qualification you will be supported by a Senior Chef and an industry experienced Assessor who will coach, mentor and evaluate your skills and knowledge on-site throughout the year.
Every month you will be encouraged to partake in events such as:
1. Chef’s Table at one of our restaurants.
2. Dine out at an exciting London Restaurant.
3. Product demonstration from a specialist supplier or skills demo from an expert Chef.
4. Tickets to Taste of London, Meatopia and many other exciting food festivals that happen across London every year.
As an apprentice you can expect to learn:
• Basic preparation and cooking of dishes.
• Adherence to strict food safety and Health safety guidelines.
• Contributing to the Kitchen brigade in a positive manner.
• Prepping, cooking and plating dishes from the menu.
• Working in a clean, tidy and safe manner.
• Developing flavour pairings and styles of cuisines.
