We are looking for a temp Purchase Ledger Clerk with an immediate start. If you have the knowledge and experience, we would love to hear from you.
To provide excellent administration support to the Finance team for all entities within the Group Company.
Working relationships outside of Finance
Supply Chain
Suppliers
Business Development Managers
Departmental Heads.
Due to business requirements, it is expected that the role holder will need to have a high degree of
flexibility in order to meet the demands of the role. Therefore, it may be necessary to work out of
normal working hours due to the nature of the projects, and in order to meet the necessary
demands of our client base. The role holder must be able to adjust to a broad and fluid set of tasks
as requirements change in this progressive company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Opening and distribution of incoming post
• Checking, coding and posting supplier overhead invoices into accounting system
• Checking, coding and posting company credit card expenditure into accounting system
• Posting London City Bond invoices
• Preparing supplier payment runs for various entities
• Input of supplier payments into banking system ready for authorisation
• Filing and other administrative duties
Key skills and knowledge
Essential
• Previous experience of working as part of team in a busy finance office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whist remaining professional at all times
• Strong communicator, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate a proactive and ‘can do attitude’
• Planning and organising own work load and possess the ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management skills including working to deadlines whilst remaining Clam
under pressure
• Accurate and detail conscious
• Excellent IT skills including Excel and Microsoft packages
• Knowledge of VAT
Desirable:
• Whisky or premium spirits experience from retail or similar
• experience using Sage and/or ERP system.
