We are looking for a fun-loving, energetic and friendly female live in au pair to help with our son aged 8 years and daughter aged.
6. You must have some experience of looking after children, speak English and already be in the UK. We have had au pairs live with us for the last 7 years and many of them have stayed over their usual year with two of our au pairs staying with us for 2 years.
Ideally we are looking for someone to stay at least one year. You will have your own bedroom, bathroom is shared with the kids but they only use it for bathtime, own TV, use of wi-fi internet as well as a desk. Our home is in a lovely part of London within walking distance of both Wandsworth Common and Clapham Common with lots of other au pairs in the area. Transport links to central London are excellent. You will be required to work around 27 hours during the term with a maximum of 30 hours per week in the holidays but we are very flexible in the holidays. The schedule of hours worked is likely to be similar each week in the term time.
Working days are Monday to Friday unless otherwise agreed and 2 hours on a Saturday morning (we can be flexible on this). We will need 2 nights of babysitting per week and pay you for anything more than this. You can take 4 weeks holiday per year which will be paid for, if you want to take more we are happy for you to do this but the rest will be unpaid.
We would ask you to help get breakfast ready in the morning and help the children get ready for school. Occasional school drop off and occasional pick the children up. Helping with getting supper ready, I love fresh healthy food and like to prepare things from fresh ingredients so am happy to teach you lots of recipes. We have a cleaner twice per week as I like the house to be neat and tidy so I would ask of you to help keep the kitchen tidy and the children bedrooms neat and tidy as well as taking care of the children laundry. It is important you like things to be neat and tidy too.
We also own a second home in the UK, which is a lovely escape from London and we spend the school holidays there. We would require the au pair to occasionally join us over this period and the working hours in the holidays would be the same as in London. We have a pool there so it would be great if you could swim and take the children swimming.
We are a flexible family and we are looking for someone to be equally flexible, take initiative, will be loving and kind with the children, have a sense of humour and is happy to be flexible. This job offers a bit of everything and we are looking forward to meeting you and welcoming the right person into our family. You will have lots of free time in the day so we can try and help you find some extra babysitting work too.
