Daisy is 5 and is looking for an energetic, fun and confident Support Worker to assist her with her weekend routine. Daisy has Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy and sensory processing disorder. She lives with her mum and dad, brother aged 8, sister aged 7 and baby sister aged 3 months. This is a busy household!
You will be responsible for supporting Daisy through personal care routines, any required therapy exercises, accompanying her out with her family and friends or organizing fun activities she can engage in. You will need to be resilient and confident as Daisy can often be challenging and tantrums are a regular occurrence. Daisy is also a LOT of fun. Daisy likes to be active and can use her manual wheelchair or her Whizzy Bug to get around.  She loves to be kept busy with play, games and activities.
This job will suit someone who is firm, fair and fun, who can offer consistency and set boundaries. At the weekends, Daisy’s siblings will be around, so a degree of flexibility and an eagerness to include all the children will go a long way.
This is a great opportunity to work with this fantastic family and help Daisy to reach her full potential.
*Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
